PPKS offering a wide range of courses – enrolment now open

KUCHING, May 30: SPM school leavers take note. Pusat Pembangunan Kemahiran Sarawak (PPKS)’s May/June 2019 intake is now open.

Those interested to pursue courses such as Graphic Design, Industrial Electronics, Mechanical Draughtsmanship, Mechatronics and Industrial Automation can now apply at its Kuching branch.

PPKS executive director Hallman Sabri said students who had completed their SPM or SPMV are eligible to enrol in the centre’s Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) programmes.

Those who wished to enrol in the Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia programmes must have completed SKM Level 3 in related fields.

“With regard to skills programmes, PPKS offers the most number of 5-star rated programmes, awarded by the state Department of Skills Development.

“This is an eloquent testimony to the quality of post-secondary education offered by the PPKS Group of Institutions,” said Hallman in a statement.

With regards to financial assistance, PPKS offers assistance to students in their applications for full funding from the Skills Development Fund Corporation (PTPK) and the Sarawak Foundation (Yayasan Sarawak).

For PPKS Mukah, the July intake is in progress for the following programmes: Plantation Level 3, Fashion and Design Level (s) 1 and 2, and Computer Systems Level 3.
