KUCHING, March 18: Nowa Itaka, a travel company from Poland, has included Sarawak and Sabah as 12-day destinations in their tour package to Malaysia, says Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Dato Seri Tiong King Sing.
In a Facebook post today, Tiong said that this follows Nowa Itaka’s success in the launch of their first charter flight from Poland to Langkawi last October, which was initially scheduled to run until March this year.
“However, I have been informed that they will resume this from October this year until March next year, and this time, their tour will include Sabah and Sarawak for 12 days,” he said.
He said this was part of an effort to attract more European tourists to Malaysia and expressed his happiness with this positive development.
“I welcome this collaboration and will ensure that my ministry provides the necessary support so that more attractive packages can be offered.
“Additionally, we are also ready to help fill the gap between April and September with various tourism products and promotions,” he said.
