KUCHING, Dec 9: Police are calling for witnesses to come forward after a pedestrian was killed in a road accident along Jalan Setia Raja today.
Kuching district police chief Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said that in the accident which occurred around 4.30am, it was believed that the male victim had been hit by an unknown vehicle.
The victim, who was in his 30s and without any identification documents, was confirmed dead by medical personnel arriving at the location at 4.45am.
“The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he said in a statement today.
