Police seek public help in identifying motorist provoking road users in Petra Jaya

KUCHING, March 15: The police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a motorcyclist involved in an incident of provocation towards other road users in front of Mydin supermarket in Petra Jaya yesterday (March 14).

Kuching District Police Chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah confirmed that a police report has been lodged regarding the incident and urged anyone with information to come forward.


“We are currently investigating the case under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” ACP Ahsmon stated.

The incident, captured in a 1 minute 50 second video that went viral on social media today, shows two individuals riding a motorcycle without a registration number engaging in provocative behavior towards other road users.

The incident occurred on March 14 at approximately 5.20pm along Jalan Demak, in front of Mydin supermarket in Petra Jaya.

Police are actively pursuing leads to locate the motorcyclist and ensure appropriate action is taken in accordance with the law.
