KUCHING, Dec 28: Police will set up a security blockade and diversion at the Damai Golf and Country Club junction starting at midnight tonight to facilitate the smooth running of the two-day Borneo Sar X Indo concert, commencing tomorrow (Dec 29) at 6pm at Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV).

Kuching District Police deputy chief Supt Merbin Lisa emphasised that the security blockade will be in effect until the conclusion of the concert on Dec 30.

“Concertgoers are encouraged to use the bus services, available from 11am onwards, provided by the organisers from Pullman Hotel, directly transporting them to the SCV,” he said in a statement today.

Furthermore, only vehicles with passes will be permitted to enter the concert location.

For those without passes, they are advised to park at designated areas as directed by on-duty police officers.

Concert attendees are reminded not to double-park their vehicles, as this may obstruct traffic flow, and to adhere to traffic management instructions from police officers to ensure smooth traffic within the location.

For additional information, the public can contact the Kuching District Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division at 082-259900.

Organised by High Achievers Networking Events (HNE), the concert is themed ‘Pre-New Year’s Eve Party’.

The first day of the concert will feature Alu Alu Band and Senseless as opening acts, followed by DJ AWG, DJ LENN, DJ Cassie D and DJ AlexisGrace as the headliner.

The second day with the theme ‘Sarawak Galau’ will see Big Jamm Band and Meruked as the opening acts followed by the three anticipated Indonesian artistes, namely Aris Idol of ST12 band, Dadali band and Nidji band. Additionally, DJ Keeyushee will play a closing set until 1am.

Other activities include jamming sessions (war drum), DJ sessions, cultural shows, food and beverage bazaars and merchandise and craft booths. — DayakDaily
