Police looking for 4 individuals to assist in cheating cases since 2010

KUCHING, Aug 16: The police are on the hunt for four individuals allegedly involved in separate cheating cases since 2010.

Awang Kushardi Awang Putra

The first suspect (left)) is 51-year-old Awang Kushardi Awang Putra, 51, who allegedly cheated a 40-year-old aspiring contractor of RM98,500 in exchange for a project from Ministry of Education.

The would-be contractor lodged a police report on April 12, 2015 after not hearing from Awang Kushardi for a while.

Those who knows the whereabouts of Awang Kushardi are to call Inspector Fadhilah Abd Rashid at 011-15211628 or Inspector Hamizan Ismail at 016-4455695.

Wan Saiful Bahri Wan Hassan

On a separate cheating case, the police is looking for Wan Saiful Bahri Wan Hassan, 50, (left) for allegedly cheated a 70-plus year-old victim for RM75,000.

The victim was allegedly duped to invest in a hydroponic catfish farming project and was asked to pay RM75,000 before the project could be initiated.

After more than four months not hearing from Wan Saiful, the elderly victim lodged a police report on Jan 22, 2013.

Kharulliza Rajuli

On another case, the police are looking for two individuals suspected to be collaborating in a cheating case involving RM100,000 from a man in his 60s.

The suspects Kharulliza Rajuli, 34 (left) and Hamdan Engka, 51 (below left), allegedly deceived the victim into donating money to a non-existing association.

Over a period of a year, the victim had donated to the fake association an accumulation of RM100,000 before sensing something amiss, and lodged a police report on May 19, 2010.

Those who knows the whereabouts of the two suspects are urged to call Inspector Mohammad Faeze Azwansafuan Abdul Rahman at 014-3540021 or Inspector Hamizan Ismail at 016-4455695.

All of the suspects, if found guilty, will be charged under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating which carries a jail term of not less than a year and not more than 10 years with whipping, with a fine each.— DayakDaily
