KUCHING, Aug 23: The police are hunting for two more suspects believed to be involved in the brawl which resulted in serious injuries to a victim at a premises in Matang on Monday.
Acting Padawan District Police Chief DSP Lim Jaw Shyong said the two suspects were identified as Affidi@Adi Jamani, 34 and Suhaimi Pimping Jamani, 28.
“If you have information about these two suspects, do pass the information to the police immediately,” he said in a statement today.
He said information can be channeled directly to the Head of the Padawan District Investigation Division ASP Sylvarius at 013-8637241 or Investigating Officer Inspector Nyaum Ringkai at 0166793703.
Earlier, five suspects were arrested in connection with the Matang scuffle case which is being investigated under Sections 326 and 148 of the Penal Code.
The incident began when on Aug 21, the 30-year-old victim was having dinner with his girlfriend in an eatery in Matang when five men approached him.
The suspects accused him of an unpaid debt, which the victim denied. He was then beaten by a hockey stick before being attacked by a machete.
The suspects then fled from the scene while the victim was rushed to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further treatment.
Following the scuffle, the victim suffered several injuries to his body and legs.
As of yesterday, the victim was reported to be in stable condition but still receiving treatment. — DayakDaily
