Police hunting 18-year-old inmate for stabbing and robbing AADK officer

SIBU, Sept 2: The police are looking for the whereabouts of 18-year-old suspect Raymond Bakak Kinsing from Miri following a stabbing and robbery case at the Sarawak National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) Care and Service Centre at Jalan Lanang here last night.

The suspect, who was an inmate there, was reportedly to have stabbed an AADK officer there before taking the victim’s belongings and fled with the victim’s motorcycle.

Sibu District AADK Chief Lu Ting Pin received a distressed call from the stabbed officer Juing Garai at around 8.18pm last nite. Lu immediately rushed to the AADK centre.


Upon arrival at the centre, he saw Juing wounded in the chest area at the officer’s break room. Lu immediately called for an ambulance, and Juing was immediately brought to the Sibu Hospital.

According to Sibu District Police Chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit, the suspect took Juing’s wallet containing his MyKad, bank card, some cash and his red Honda Wave motorcycle bearing plate number QP4613.

It was reported that Juing was stabbed with a sharp object while he was asleep in the officer’s rest room.

ACP Stanley also said that the suspect was originally supposed to be admitted to the Miri AADK centre but as it was full, and the suspect was transferred to the Sibu AADK centre.

The suspect was expected to undergo rehabilitation for three months beginning July 8, 2019 till Oct 7, 2019. — DayakDaily
