KUCHING, March 31: It is a blessed Ramadan for 35 individuals thanks to the Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Sarawak (Sabati) in collaboration with the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) and Ma’Had Darul Falah Islamic Studies Centre.

The 35 recipients comprise those from the B40 group and AADK clients.

In a news report by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the donations were handed over by the wife of the Sarawak Premier, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, who is also the president of Sabati.

The programme aims to foster greater relationships and cultivate the spirit of charity during the holy month of Ramadan.

In addition, it hoped to ease the burden of AADK clients who are less fortunate in celebrating the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

Also present were Sabati secretary, Datin Siti Shorgayah Ahmad Zaidin; wife of the Speaker of the Sarawak Legislative Assembly, Puan Sri Dato Fatimah Iskandar; wife of the Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and Ukas), Datin Nora Ashikin Ibrahim, Sarawak AADK director, Iskandar Turkee, and other guests. — DayakDaily
