KUCHING, Oct 21: A 57-year-old man died after suddenly collapsing onto the road while riding his motorcycle along Jalan Bayor Bukit here on Oct 19.
In a statement issued on Oct 20, Kuching District Police Chief ACP Alexson Naga Anak Chabu said the incident occurred at about 7.30am as the man was travelling from his home in Tabuan Jaya to his workplace at the Kuching bus terminal.
Initial investigations found that upon reaching Jalan Bayor Bukit, the man stopped his motorcycle along the side of the road before suddenly collapsing onto the road.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical officer from Sarawak General Hospital.
Alexson said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
