KUCHING, Nov 24: Perikatan Nasional (PN) has agreed to consider the formation of a unity government involving discussions with like-minded parties.

PN secretary-general Dato Sri Hamzah Zainudin, in a statement today, said a supreme council special meeting was held earlier today to discuss the proposed formation.

“In line with that, the meeting agreed to consider the proposed establishment of a unity government which involves discussions with like-minded parties for the well-being of the people and the stability of the nation,” he said.

The idea of a Perikatan-Pakatan unity government was proposed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to resolve the ongoing political impasse.
