KUCHING, Dec 20: All public employees from Grade 11 to Grade 56 will receive a RM100 Special Annual Salary Increase from the Federal government in 2023, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, stated this when tabling a special allocation or Mini Budget in the Dewan Rakyat today.
“The government has agreed to provide an annual salary increase of RM100 as a special supplement to all public employees from Grade 11 to Grade 56,” he said.
He went on to say that the Federal government had also agreed to provide special financial aid of RM700 to 1.3 million civil servants in Grade 56 and below, as well as RM350 to one million government pensioners.
Anwar tabled the provision under the Consolidated Fund (Expenditure Into Account) Act 2022, which will come into effect on Jan 1, 2023.
The RM107.7 billion temporary operating budget has been passed in the Dewan Rakyat.
Anwar will table a full new budget in February 2023. — DayakDaily
