KUCHING, June 29: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak continues to remain strong and solid, despite the treachery by its former leaders, said PKR Sarawak information and communication chief Abun Sui Anyit.

Abun, in a press statement issued yesterday, said that despite the action of treachery, the number was minimal compared to those loyal members still staying with the party.

“PKR Sarawak has increased its members from about 40,000 previously to a current membership of 83,220 from all over the state.

“This includes 727 Keadilan membership applications that are still pending for approval from the party,” he said.

Meanwhile, Abun also disclosed that four PKR Sarawak branch’s coordinators have been appointed by the chairman of PKR leadership council (MPN), Larry Sng Wei Shien, during the MPN meeting yesterday.

He said the four coordinators are namely David Chow Ah Hong (Stampin branch), Senior William Rade (Serian branch), Mattson Attang Achun (Betong branch) and Paul Kadang (Saratok branch).

“We hope that with the appointment of the new coordinators and increasing number of PKR membership to more than double will boost the spirit of the PKR members and its coalition in Pakatan Harapan (PH) to move forward especially, in terms of preparation to face the 12th Sarawak state election or even the 15th Parliamentary snap election at any time from now,” Abun added.

He pointed that the increased PKR Sarawak membership to more than double would also strengthen the confidence of Sarawakians to entrust PKR or PH to topple Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) in the coming 12th state election.

“Thus, PKR Sarawak urges all its members to be loyal to the party and unite with all the current leadership at all levels to bring about changes with PH Sarawak,” he said. –DayakDaily.
