PKR Sarawak MPN appoints new key leaders

KUCHING, June 8:  In face of the upcoming Sarawak Election, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is now regrouping itself where new leaders are appointed to head different key party posts.

PKR Sarawak State Leadership Council (MPN) has appointed lawyer and activist  Harrison Ngau Laing as Head Coordinator of PKR Sarawak State Election Secretariat.

“Harrison is  a very committed member of PKR and his fighting for the peoples has been proven and he was the recipient of a prestige Goldman Prize in 1990 for his devotional services in defending Sarawakians oppressed by the logging activities in Sarawak.  He was chosen among candidates from all over the world for his struggles.

“Other appointees appointed to their respective post are organising secretary of PKR Sarawak – Piee Ling who is also Batang Sadong Branch Chief, while Welfare Bureau is held by Japar Suyut who is also vice chairman of MPN Sarawak.

“Roland Engan who is also vice chairman MPN Sarawak was appointed as Head of Institutional and Governance Reform,” said PKR Sarawak Communication Chief Abun Sui Anyit in a press statement today.

Apart from the above, several others have been appointed.

The followings are the newly appointed coordinators of different branches:
Edwin Limban                            Mas Gading
Datuk Dr Nor Irwan Ahmad Nor   Petra Jaya
Jame Stephen                            Bintulu
Suaidi Morshidi                           Kota Samarahan
Ellison Ludan                              Kanowit

On the vacancy left by Jugah Muyang who left the party, MPN decided to submit a name to be considered by the PKR president Datuk Sri Anwar Ibrahim and be announced in due course.

Meanwhile, in providing the right information and interaction with the peoples during this recovery movement control order (RCMO) which has been extended until Aug 31, 2020, PKR Sarawak will broadcast live streaming via Facebook starting from June 14, 2020 with issues close to the peoples of Sarawak, which are always been fought by PKR Sarawak.

Individual experts in their respective fields will be invited to share information and knowledge to the peoples during the Facebook live streaming.–DayakDaily.
