LUNDU, April 23: A 56-year-old pickup truck driver was transported to Lundu Hospital with minor facial injuries after his vehicle crashed near SMK Sematan late last night (April 22).
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak responded to an emergency at about 11pm and immediately mobilised a team of firefighters from Lundu Station to the location.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a Toyota Hilux had crashed near the Sematan roundabout.
Passersby reportedly assisted the victim out of the vehicle, who was then transported to the hospital via ambulance from the Civil Defence Force (APM) before the firefighters arrived.
Although no formal rescue operation was conducted, the firefighters ensured the accident site’s safety before returning to the station. — DayakDaily
