KUCHING, July 28: Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) president Datuk Larry Sng foresees that Pakatan Harapan (PH) will no longer serve as effective check and balance in Sarawak.
Sng, in a Facebook post on July 26, said that he agreed with what Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari said during a Keluar Sekejap podcast session, that is PH is already non-existent in Sarawak.
“I am not trying to pit Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) against PH. On the contrary, I support Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim and a strong federal government with PH-Barisan Nasional (BN)-GPS at the driving seat,” he said.
Sng was responding to Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak’s Tay Wei Wei saying that Sng was in no position to suggest that PH join Sarawak-ruling coalition (GPS).
Sng pointed out that since Abang Johari has already declared GPS’ position to contest all 82 seats in Sarawak’s next State elections, that leaves no room for PH Sarawak without upsetting strong federal relations.
He also said that GPS also not surrender any Sarawak Parliamentary seats when the next general election is called.
On July 24, Sng opined PH should take Abang Johari seriously if they wish to continue to rule after the next General Election. — DayakDaily
