“This is one of our methods to boost the economy through the involvement of KOBOPEM, where a large portion of its members are firefighters in Sarawak.”

“We also believe that KOBOPEM’s involvement in the MFS Batu Kawa business allows us to jointly participate in the transition to energy transformation while further expanding our initial involvement in the development of electric vehicles (EVs) in Malaysia,” he said when met by reporters after witnessing the symbolic exchange of agreements between KOBOPEM and Sarawak Eeconomic Development Corporation (SEDC) Energy Sdn Bhd, yesterday.

Meanwhile, the chief executive officer of SEDC Energy Sdn Bhd, Robert Hardin, stated that MFS Batu Kawa is expected to commence its operations in the second quarter of this year.

He emphasised that the agreement between KOBOPEM and SEDC is a synergic exchange aimed at providing a stable and sustainable source of income for its members in the long term, while simultaneously playing a role in expanding the Petros MFS network.

Also present were the chairman of KOBOPEM Advance Sdn Bhd, Dato Sri Mohammad Hamdan Wahid, and other distinguished guests. – DayakDaily
