GEDONG, April 10: Badan Kebajikan Kakitangan Islam Petronas or Petronas Muslim Staff Welfare Association (BAKIP) contributed RM30,000 to some 200 asnaf — the less privileged group who are eligible to receive zakat (tithe) aid collected from Muslims, in Gedong on Saturday (April 8).

According to a press release issued by Petronas, the zakat contribution was divided into three zones — Gedong, Pangkor Gedong, and Ulu Gedong.
