KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16: PETRONAS has launched the Energy Asia Awards as part of its Energy Asia 2025 initiative, aimed at recognising exceptional achievements in driving a sustainable energy transition across Asia.
According to the press release by Petronas, Energy Asia 2025, scheduled for June 16-18 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, will bring together global leaders and energy professionals to discuss actionable solutions for a just and responsible energy transition.
Aligned with the theme of the upcoming conference, ‘Delivering Asia’s Energy Transition,’ the awards will celebrate individuals, companies, and initiatives that contribute innovative solutions to meet Asia’s growing energy demand, reduce CO2 emissions, and promote sustainability.
Datin Arni Laily Anwarrudin, Senior General Manager of Energy Asia and Strategy emphasised the collaborative nature of the energy transition.
“It is a monumental task that demands collective effort and collaboration from all stakeholders.
“As such we are pleased to introduce the Energy Asia Awards, designed to recognise and celebrate individuals, organisations and initiatives leading the charge in shaping a cleaner, sustainable future – serving as an inspiration for others to follow.”
The awards will be presented in two categories: the Eureka Award, which recognises entrepreneurs and companies advancing decarbonisation and resource efficiency through groundbreaking technologies, and the Trailblazer Award, which honours organisations committed to inclusive growth in education, environment, and energy security.
Submissions for both awards will be accepted from January 6 to March 31, 2025, with winners to be announced at the Energy Asia 2025 conference in June. –DayakDaily
