KUCHING, July 28: Petroliam Nasional Bhd (PETRONAS) is in discussions with the Sarawak and federal governments, including Petroleum Sarawak Bhd (Petros), to reach a mutual resolution regarding gas distribution in Sarawak.
According to a news report from Business Times yesterday (July 26), the discussion emphasised the importance of all parties understanding, including acknowledging each other’s constraints to achieve a mutual outcome.
PETRONAS group also informed Business Times that they will continue to be a strategic partner to Sarawak to preserve a thriving and conducive investment climate in Malaysia.
Recently, Bernama reported that RHB Investment Bank (RHB IB) said that PETRONAS could lose a portion of revenue after Petros was appointed as the sole gas aggregator in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
