PETRONAS Gas reports RM1.9 bln in 2023 profits, declares 72 sen dividend per share

KUALA LUMPUR, April 23: PETRONAS Gas Berhad Group of Companies (PGB) reported an 8.1 per cent increase in profit after tax for the fiscal year 2023, totalling RM1.9 billion compared to the previous year.

PGB managing director and chief executive officer Abdul Aziz Othman attributed this growth to improved performance and announced a total dividend of 72 sen per share.

“Despite the constant challenging environment, we are optimistic in delivering another resilient performance as we focus our efforts moving forward,” he said in a statement today.

PGB reaffirmed its commitment to ensure sustainable value creation from its existing core businesses while actively pursuing growth opportunities.

This includes securing more high impact projects by leveraging on PGB’s core competencies as well as other industry-adjacent opportunities.

These were shared during PGB’s 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) which was held earlier today to present the Company’s 2023 performance to its shareholders. It was attended by PCB chairman Adnan Zainol Abidin, its chief financial officer Shahrul Azham Sukaiman, and senior independent non-executive director Farina Farikullah Khan.

In upholding its strength, resilience, and sustainability amidst challenges, PGB is guided by a strategic agenda that emphasises growth alongside commercial, project, and operational excellence.

Additionally, sustainability has been integrated into every aspect of PGB’s decision-making processes, ensuring alignment between economic growth and sustainable development priorities.
