KUCHING, Aug 21: The Pesta Benak Sri Aman 2022 Committee paid a courtesy visit to Sarawak Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah last Friday (Aug 19).
According to a report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the visit was led by Sarawak Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, who is also the Committee’s advisor.
The courtesy visit was intended to invite Abdul Karim to attend the Pesta Benak (Tidal Bore Festival), which will take place from Sept 9 to 11.
The committee also requested allocation from the Ministry to make the festival a success.
Amongst those present were the committee’s chairman-cum-Sri Aman Deputy Resident Elvis Didit, Sri Aman District Officer Shariff Bujang, and committee members. — DayakDaily
