KUCHING, June 4: A 19-year-old girl sustained injuries on her arms and legs after the vehicle she was in caught fire at Jalan Kota Sentosa here last night.
According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a team of firefighters from Batu Lintang Fire Station (BBP) rushed to the scene upon receiving the distress call at around 9.30pm.
Upon arrival, Bomba said firefighters found the black Perodua Kenari fully engulfed in flames in the middle of the road heading towards Mile 8.
“One victim sustained injuries on her arms and legs due to the incident.
“She was extricated from the car by good Samaritans prior to the arrival of Bomba and she was rushed to the hospital by an ambulance,” the report said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. — DayakDaily
