KUCHING, July 3: Malaysian Muslim Welfare Organisation (Perkim) Sarawak will organise a charity run, ‘Larian Amal Perkim Sarawak’, at Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Foyer on Sept 17.
The run will be divided into two categories: ‘ 5km Fun Run’ and ‘10km Competitive Run’.
Perkim Sarawak Donation Committee chairlady Datin Azerina Mohd Arip said the charity run is to raise funds to cover Perkim’s activities in terms of welfare, community-based and education.
“We hope to attract 2,000 runners for our charity run.
“Those who register will be entitled to a lucky draw that offers attractive prizes,” she said during a press conference at a hotel today.
The top 10 finishers for the 10km category will receive cash prizes, while finisher medals will also be given to those who complete the 5km and 10km runs.

The closing date is on Aug 31, 2023.
