“We are not what we used to be, and the future holds even more great leaps forward.

“From desolation to prosperity, from sowing to harvest, history witnesses the steadfast journey of our ancestors in building and prospering our land.”

Tiong, who is also Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Malaysia, highlighted that he will pay close attention to the sustainable tourism development of Niah National Park.

He added his ministry would closely cooperate with local governments and relevant entities to enhance and perfect infrastructure, including transportation, safety measures, environmental hygiene, and conservation.

Tiong believed that rich and diverse Sarawak, sculpted by different civilisations over time, brings together people of various skin colours, eyes, and smiles, symbolising the unity of all Sarawakians.
