PDP fields new faces: Friday Belik in Krian, Sam Laya in Ba’kelalan

KUCHING, Dec 3: New faces Friday Belik and Sam Laya will be joining the fray in Krian and Ba’kelalan, respectively, during the 12th Sarawak Election.

They will be representing Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) and contesting under the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) flag.


As for Meluan, Marudi, and Tasik Biru constituencies, they are to be defended by incumbents Rolland Duat Jubin, Datu Dr Penguang Manggil, and Datuk Harry Henry Jinep, respectively.

Meanwhile, PDP president and also Bintulu MP Dato Sri Tiong King Sing was confirmed to be standing in Dudong in the coming election.

In total, PDP will be contesting six seats while Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) will contest in 18 seats, Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) 11, and Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) the remaining 47 seats.
