KUCHING, April 23: The special education committee of the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) has donated 300 stationery sets worth RM86,400 to 300 students in the B40 category today.
Special Education Committee chairman Cr Teo Boon Siew said this is only the first phase of a bigger project to help all B40 students in Sarawak gain access to the Kademy e-learning platform.
He said Kademy, which is equipped with specially designed content for students, including voice animation, interactive games and question banks, aims to inspire the future generations of Sarawakians to pursue knowledge and innovation.
“PDP has decided to introduce Kademy, an online learning platform that could overcome the physical constraints of learning; bring diversified, interesting and up-to-date education to Sarawak; unlock an education revolution of smart teaching for teachers, and create a happy learning experience for students.
“Although this project was kickstarted in Dudong, we hope to extend this initiative to all Sarawakian students in the future to empower all B40 students and help them gain access to learning resources for free,” he said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, Teo also thanked all donors who contributed to the success of the first phase of this project. — DayakDaily
