KUCHING, April 23: Sarawakians are comfortable with Premier of Sarawak Tan Sri Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg’s leadership, said Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

Uggah pointed out the fact that Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) has won 76 out of the 82 seats in the last Sarawak State Election is a manifestation of this.

“Through his inclusive policy, he has shown himself to be a Premier for all races in Sarawak.

“He too has shown his mettle by being able to secure additional revenue for the State development expenditure,” he said when officiating at the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kakus branch triennial delegates meeting (TDM) here in Bintulu today.

He further added another of Abang Johari’s good policy was the Sarawak Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 to chart out greater development, economic growth and prosperity for Sarawak.

He said this strategy deserves every support and participation from all Sarawakians.

“Please know it well to identify the relevant opportunities which you can exploit for your benefits,” he added.

Meanwhile, Uggah commended PBB Kakus branch for its decision for the ‘Bapa’, ‘Wanita’ and ‘Pemuda’ top posts to remain uncontested.

He described it as a very wise decision which augured very well for it and the party.

He is also contended with the branch’s resolution that the post of PBB president post will not be contested at the party main triennial delegates meeting in June soon.— DayakDaily
