KUCHING, July 13: Rumours have been rife that one of the member party’s of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) will take over a local Opposition party, Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB).
According to a reliable source, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing scheduled today in Kuala Lumpur announced by PDP is the event where the top leaders of both parties will meet to sign the agreement.
Following the signing of the MoU, PSB will be dissolved and be part of PDP, where PDP president Dato Sri Tiong King Sing who is also Federal Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister will continue to lead the party.
Presently, PDP holds five State seats and two parliamentary seats while PSB holds three State seats and no parliamentary seats. — DayakDaily
