KUCHING, Dec 5: PC Image Sdn Bhd was awarded the recognition of ‘Largest Computer Retail Outlet in Malaysia’ in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) in conjunction with PC Image’s 20th anniversary.

Deputy Premier of Sarawak Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian was present at tonight’s certificate presentation ceremony, which took place at a local hotel.

MBR senior record consultant Edwin Yeoh presented the certificate of recognition to PC Image managing director Simon Kong during the ceremony.

According to a press release, PC Image began in Kuching in 2000 at Wisma Saberkas and has since expanded to Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia with more than 30 outlets.

PC Image’s recognition by MBR as one of the leading computer store chains in Malaysia marks an important milestone in the company’s history.

It also brings them closer to achieving their company’s vision — ‘To be Malaysia’s most beloved and leading IT chain’.

PC Image also collaborated with a few of their component vendors, who are willing to support PC Image in offering 300 units of PC or laptops at RM999, which are only available to people in the B40 income group.

The collaboration is between their component vendors — Acer, Adata, Aoc, MSI, and Infinite Racer, with a total sponsorship of RM100,000.

There was an appreciation ceremony for all of PC Image’s sponsors who contributed to the success of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, which Dr Sim handed over. — DayakDaily
