KUCHING, Jan 15: Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) president Datuk Larry Sng Wei Shien is under fire after PBM Pahang has dissolved its state and eight divisional committees, citing disappointment and loss of trust in him.

The eight divisions are Raub, Indera Mahkota, Kuantan, Paya Besar, Temerloh, Bentong, Bera and Rompin.

According to a report by news portal Free Malaysia Today (FMT) yesterday, the dissolution was disclosed in a letter signed by PBM Pahang vice chairperson Dasimah Zainudin to the party’s secretary-general.

It was believed that the decision was made unanimously in a special meeting of PBM Pahang Supreme Council on the same day.

“The dissolution was made following disappointment and loss of trust in PBM president Larry Sng who broke his promise to make way for PBM founder (Datuk) Zuraida Kamaruddin to lead the party,” it was reported.

The letter further disclosed that Sng had disobeyed PBM Annual General Meeting’s decision on Oct 1 which had approved a motion to allow the process of transitioning power to Zuraida as the new president, unanimously.

Sng was also alleged to have abused his power to sack 13 PBM supreme council members including Zuraida without negotiations in a supreme council meeting.

Sng who is Julau MP asserts he is the legitimate president of PBM. He is the party’s only representative in Dewan Rakyat.

The party also has two incumbent state seats, which are Sementa and Lembah Jaya constituencies, both in Selangor. — DayakDaily
