KUCHING, Aug 17: PBDSB has been reinstated, according to its president Bobby William.

“I have good news to announce to you, that PBDSB (Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru or PBDSB) has been reinstated by the RoS (Registrar of Societies Malaysia) with immediate effect.

“Because of this good news, I am overjoyed because finally the Dayak has its own political platform to continue our struggle.

“However, we will continue our struggle with Gasak (Gabungan Anak Sarawak) because we have to fight in the coming state election as a team,” Bobby told Dayakdaily today.

Bobby added that he will call for a meeting very soon to chart the party’s next course of action such as the number of seats it will contest in coming 12th state election (PRN12) and also the kind of collaboration it will have together with the other four component bodies in Gasak.

The Gasak alliance comprises Sarawak People’s Aspiration Party (Aspirasi), Sarawak Workers’ Party (SWP), Sarawak for Sarawakians (S4S), Sarawak Independence Alliance (SIA) and PBDSB.

The Dayak-based Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) is the offshoot of Sarawak National Party (Snap) which was one of the oldest parties in Sarawak.
