KABONG, Nov 2: The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kabong Youth wing has expressed its full support for Dato Mohd Chee Kadir to be renominated for the upcoming 13th Sarawak Election.
According to TVS, this was conveyed during a programme held at the Kabong service centre on Sunday (Nov 1).
The youth wing also pledged to mobilise its entire machinery to ensure election preparations and operations are carried out in an organised and effective manner.
In addition to face-to-face campaigning, the party is also planning more creative approaches through digital platforms and social media to reach voters, particularly young people.
Grassroots activities will also continue, focusing on youth participation, community engagement, and programmes aimed at strengthening the party’s connection with the people.
The endorsement of Chee Kadir’s renomination reflects confidence in his leadership, experience, and continued service to the people of the Kabong constituency.
PBB Kabong PYouth chief Abdul Rahim Peli was also present at the programme, which reflected the movement’s commitment to preparing for the 13th Sarawak Election.
In the 2021 Sarawak election, Chee Kadir won the Kabong seat with a majority of 2,276 votes.
He won with 4,789 votes, defeating Wan Mohamad Madehi Wan Ali of Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB), who received 2,026 votes.
Two other contenders, Mohamad Asri Kassim from Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) and Hud Andri from Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah), lost their deposits after garnering only 208 and 91 votes, respectively. — DayakDaily
