KUCHING, March 13: The path to the crocodile enclosure at Matang Wildlife Centre (MWC) is now temporarily closed to visitors.
In a Facebook post today, Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) said visitors would only be able to visit the enclosures for the orangutans, sun bears, macaques, hedgehogs, binturongs (bearcat) and hornbills.
It added that ‘Crocodile Area’ warning signs have also been installed in the surrounding areas of MWC to alert visitors.
On March 12, SFC confirmed that two large crocodiles measuring 10 and 16 feet had escaped from MWC. — DayakDaily
