MIRI, Jan 20: Partial road closures are scheduled along Jalan North Yu Seng, Jalan Merpati, Jalan Persekutuan, Jalan Kipas, Jalan Sylvia and Jalan Parry to accommodate the Miri City Car-Free Day 2024 on Jan 27.
In a statement today, Miri City Council (MCC) said the closures will be in effect from 5.30am until 10am.
MCC advises vehicle owners to plan their routes in advance, considering the road closures, and to explore alternative routes to reach their destinations.
In addition to deploying traffic wardens, appropriate traffic diversion road signs will be placed at the closure site to guide drivers through the diversion.
Due to the expected high volume of visitors attending the event, MCC reminded visitors that parking spaces will be limited.
As such, the public is encouraged to utilise the car parks at Jalan Ansellia, Jalan Zinnia, Jalan Calliandra, Jalan Helenium, and Jalan Unus. – DayakDaily
