KUCHING, Nov 15: A section of Jalan Tun Datuk Patinggi Haji Abdul Rahman Ya’akub (in front of Petronas Petra Jaya and directly before the Petra Jaya-Matang interchange/underpass) will be partially closed from 8am to 5pm starting today until Nov 20 to facilitate road repair works.
In an advisory notice, Public Works Department (JKR) Kuching Division informed that the diversion and closure of the road will only be executed when road repair works are being carried out on site by heavy machinery.
The affected road section will promptly reopen as soon as possible if works on the road surface can be completed early to ensure uniterrupted traffic flow.
Motorists are advised to adhere to all posted safety signages within the affected areas and follow traffic instructions to maintain smooth traffic flow.
JKR Kuching Division commits to providing timely update to the public in the event of any changes to the date or area affected by the maintenance works.
Road users are also encouraged to plan their routes in advance for areas impacted by the closure.
