Outgoing Indonesia Consul-General conveys appreciation to CM, Sarawak govt

KUCHING, Sept 29: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received a farewell courtesy call from Indonesia Consul-General Yonny Tri Prayitno at the former’s office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here yesterday.

Prayitno, who has served in Sarawak for three years with his tenure to end on Sept 30, conveyed the Indonesian government’s appreciation to Abang Johari and the Sarawak government for their commitment in enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations in areas of shared interests and priorities.

“We would like to thank the Chief Minister of Sarawak for his support that has facilitated the running of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Sarawak.


“The liberal relations between Indonesia and Malaysia, especially Sarawak, are going well with positive outcomes. It is a win-win situation for both parties,” he told Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) after the visit. — DayakDaily
