MIRI, Sept 24: A total 79 summonses were issued, with seven individuals nabbed by the Miri Traffic police during a four-hour ‘Ops Mabuk’ held along Jalan Miri-Bintulu yesterday.
According to Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, during the operation which started at 11pm, around 95 vehicles were inspected.
“These summonses were issued for various traffic offences,” said Alexson in a statement today.
The individuals involved were aged 25 to 68-years-old. They were nabbed under Section 45A of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving under the Influence of alcohol. — DayakDaily
