Only 10 people allowed at one time inside shop premises in Sibu, Selangau and Kanowit

KUCHING, May 17: Only 10 people are allowed to be inside a shop premises at one time under the extended Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) standard operating procedures (SOPs) being enforced in Sibu, Selangau and Kanowit starting tomorrow (May 18).

According to the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today, the capacity of customers for shopping malls and supermarkets in the three districts are also limited to between 50 to 100 people at one time, depending on the size of the premises.

SDMC said under the latest SOPs, all offices and business premises are only allowed to operate from 6 am until 8 pm during the extended CMCO period.


At the same time, SDMC also disclosed only three people are allowed inside a private vehicle at one time, while walking and jogging activities are still allowed but limited to only two people per group.

Among the activities that are not allowed to operate in the three districts are gym centres, yoga and Zumba (including other related activities) studios or premises and sports and recreation activities.
