KUCHING, May 17: Pubs, nightclubs, spas, massage or reflexology centres and cinemas in Sarawak must remain shut during the extended Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

Under the strict compliance and latest standard operating procedures (SOP) against the rising number of Covid-19 cases, Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) also stated that karaoke centres including family karaoke are prohibited from reopening their doors for business.

This include any activities that would cause many people to gather in a place until no physical distancing is observed.

Meanwhile, only a maximum of five individuals in a group are allowed in public places throughout the CMCO.

The SOPs also prohibit social events and receptions such as weddings; engagements and aqiqah ceremonies; religious thanksgiving prayers and tahlil; anniversary events; birthday and reunion parties; and retreats. — DayakDaily
