KUCHING, May 9: A 35-year man succumbed to injuries in a single-vehicle accident along Mile 29 Jalan Kuching-Serian.
According to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, they received call regarding the incident at 12.44am and rushed a Bomba Serian team to the location.
The operation commander reported that in the incident, the victim was traveling with a passenger when their vehicle crashed into the road divider.
The impact pinned the victim to the driver’s seat. He was confirmed dead at the location by medical personnel from Ministry of Health (MOH).
The passenger was helped out of the vehicle and transported to the hospital by members of the public before the arrival of the Bomba rescue team.
Firefighters extricated the deceased’s body from the vehicle. The body was handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
