KUCHING, Nov 2: One male passenger sustained broken bones while seven others escaped unhurt after their bus skidded and overturned in Bukit Begunan, this evening.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue (Bomba) department operation centre said they received the report regarding the incident at about 6.08pm, and responded by deploying eight firefighters from Bomba Sri Aman, led by PBK II Chimium Duyu, together with the department chief PPgB William Baheng, to the scene.
“After arriving at the location, the operation commander reported that due to the accident, one of the male passengers suffered from a broken arm and leg, and was removed from the bus by firefighters,” it said in a statement.
The statement noted seven others, including six passengers and the bus driver managed to escape safely unscathed.
“The injured victims were later handed over to the medical team from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and were brought to Sri Aman Hospital for further treatment,” the statement added. – DayakDaily.
