KUCHING, Dec 17: Nyadi Dolah, one of the last four Bidayuh Ring Ladies in Sarawak, has died at the age of 92.
She was laid to rest at the Anglican Cemetery in the Bengoh Dam Resettlement Scheme today.
According to a news report by New Sarawak Tribune, Nyadi drew her last breath on Friday (Dec 16) at about 1am when she was at home at Kampung Semban.
It was her daughter, Tipah Ahi, who noticed that she had stopped breathing while resting on a sofa.
Later, medical officers who arrived at the house examined Nyadi and pronounced her dead at the scene.
At about 11am this morning, Nyadi’s body was brought to the All Saint’s Anglican Church for funeral prayers before heading to the cemetery.
Nyadi is survived by six children, 21 grandchildren and about 20 great-grandchildren. — DayakDaily
