SIBU, Sept 20: One man was killed while three were injured in a road accident that occurred along Jalan Salim here this morning.
According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), firefighters from the Sibu Central station were deployed to the scene after receiving a call about the accident at 2.25am.
The report noted that the deceased, identified as 44-year-old Herbert Augustine Andoh, was trapped in the vehicle.
Firefighters extricated the trapped victim using rescue equipment, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by Ministry of Health personnel who were also present.
He was later handed over to the police for further action, while the three other victims who sustained injuries from the accident were taken to the hospital for further treatment. — DayakDaily
