KUCHING, Jan 8: A self-accident involving a Perodua Myvi left the driver, an adult male, trapped and pinned by his leg after the vehicle veered off the road and plunged down a slope at Jalan Kuching-Serian along Jalan Pan Borneo, this morning.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, firefighters arrived at the scene at 8.20am and immediately employed road traffic accident (RTA) extraction equipment to free the trapped driver.
After firefighters extracted the pinned victim, he was handed over to medical personnel for further action.
Following the operation, the rescue team ensured the area was safe before returning to their station.
