SELANGOR, Sept 7: Nur Amalina Mohd Mosadad powered her way to Para Malaysia Games (SUKMA) gold with a commanding 997-pin haul in the Women’s TPB10 Singles final, giving Sarawak an early victory in the para tenpin bowling competition.
According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the national athlete emerged champion after completing six rounds at Sunway Megalanes on Monday, finishing well ahead of Selangor’s Nur Hidayah Sulaiman, who settled for silver with 853 pins.
Nur Amalina built the foundation for her victory with a 172-pin opening game before producing her strongest performance of the final in the second round, knocking down 214 pins to establish a firm advantage.
Although her score dipped to 127 pins in the third round, she regained her composure in the remaining games, recording 163, 161 and 160 pins to finish with a total of 997 and an average of 166.17 pins.
The result also saw Sarawak claim two places on the podium with Rosserrine Issawell Manong Raymond securing the bronze medal after accumulating 809 pins across six rounds.
Rosserrine maintained a relatively consistent performance throughout the final, recording 137, 139, 126, 127, 141 and 139 pins to finish third with an average of 134.83.
The double podium finish gives Sarawak an encouraging start to its Para SUKMA Selangor 2026 tenpin bowling campaign, with Nur Amalina leading the state’s charge with gold. — DayakDaily
