“The Environmental Education Fund enables us to expand the reach and impact of our programmes. It allows the private sector to play a more active role in supporting our mission to build a more environmentally conscious and sustainable society,” he said in his speech during the Sarawak-level National Environment Day (HASN) 2025 at a local resort in Sematan today.

He revealed that Press Metal (Bintulu) Sdn Bhd and Tecktonic & Sons Holdings Sdn Bhd each contributed RM40,000, while Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd donated RM20,000. DNS Waste Management Sdn Bhd and Thian Sheng Automobile and Services Sdn Bhd each contributed RM10,000, bringing the total to RM120,000.

Jack commended the generosity of the contributors and urged more corporations to come forward to support the Environmental Education Fund. “Together, we can create long-term impact through education and awareness. Sustainability is not only the responsibility of the government but also of every stakeholder in the community,” he added.
