No new positive cases of Covid-19 in Sarawak today

KUCHING, June 30: No new Covid-19 positive or deaths were reported in Sarawak today.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a media statement disclosed that that the cumulative number of positive cases for Covid-19 in Sarawak remained at 571 cases.

SDMC also revealed that one patient had recovered and been discharged from Sarawak General Hospital, while another 16 patients were still under treatment at medical facilities statewide.

With the recoveries, SDMC said the cumulative number of patients who had recovered from Covid-19 in Sarawak were 538 people or 94.22 per cent of total cases.

The number of death cases in Sarawak remains at 17.

It also revealed that there were 54 new person-under-investigation (PUI) cases and three still awaiting laboratory results.

Meanwhile, Kuching, Sibu and Bintulu are still categorised as yellow zones.

As for Person Under Surveillance (PUS), a total of 32 people came into Sarawak today as person-under-surveillance (PUS) and registered into 13 hotels throughout the state.

With another 32 PUS, it disclosed that there are a total of 844 PUS who are undergoing quarantine at hotels.

SDMC said 17,017 PUS had completed their 14 days of quarantine today.—DayakDaily
