KUCHING, Nov 8: The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has specified that inter-district travel to and from Kuching is prohibited during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period from November 9-22.

In CMCO standard operating procedures (SOPs) guidelines issued, the committee revealed a police permit is required for travelling by air between CMCO areas and other states in Malaysia.

The police will set up roadblocks at high risk Covid-19 infection areas with the assistance of the armed forces, Civil Defence Force and the People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela).

For emergency cases such as illness and death, inter-district travel is allowed upon permit application approval from the police.

Only three family members per household are allowed to procure essential goods at any one time during the CMCO period.

For electronic hailing (e-hailing) services, only two passengers are allowed in each vehicle.

Food delivery services using e-hailing will operate from 6am to 10pm during the CMCO period. — DayakDaily
