KUCHING, June 23: National Institute Of Occupational Safety And Health (Niosh) has invited Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to officiate at Borneo Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) 2022 conference in October.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, the invitation was extended during a courtesy call at the Premier’s office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia by a Niosh delegation led by its chairman Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong together with Niosh executive director Ayop Salleh, Niosh executive secretary Major Hanif Maidin and yesterday.
Speaking to reporters after the courtesy call, Wilson said the 7th BOSH 2022 conference involving participation from Sarawak and Sabah will be held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).
“The Premier said that he will officiate at the conference. The date (of the conference) will be announced later,” he said.
He added, following this, the BOSH conference will be held annually in Sarawak to ensure the safety and health standards of workers in the State are improved from time to time. — DayakDaily
